Curious about 3D printing? Reserve one of four daily time slots to design in Tinkercad.com on a library computer, then print your creation on our library’s 3D printer with help from staff. This hands-on program is perfect for beginners—bring your idea, build your model, and we’ll guide you through sending it to the printer. Only 4 spots are available each day, so please register to save your time. Ages 8+.

How it works (at a glance):

Pick a date/time and register (4 slots per day).

Come to the library, sign in, and design in Tinkercad on our computers.

Staff will help review and submit your file to the printer.

We’ll notify you when your item is ready for pickup.
3D Printing Rules & Procedures
- Users must be at least 8 years of age.
- Printing is for lawful purposes only and must follow copyright and patent law, library policies, and safety guidelines.
- Users agree to assume responsibility and hold the Library harmless (including any patent, trademark, or copyright violations).
- Library staff review files before printing and may refuse any request.
- Users must read and sign the 3D Printing Policy & Agreement before printing.
- Users must reserve a time to use the 3D printer. Library programs may <strong”>limit or delay access.
- One print request per person at a time.
- The library cannot guarantee model quality or success.
- Submission & file prep:
- Submit files to staff for review and submission.
- Users are responsible for designing and preparing their own files in .stl format (free designs also available on sites like Thingiverse). Staff can consult/assist, but users own the design work.
- Users are responsible for errors during printing; consider using software that checks/repairs models before submitting.
- Surface imperfections (small bumps/holes, rough edges) can occur and may need light cleanup (e.g., fine sandpaper).
- Only designated staff/volunteers may operate the printers.
- 3D printing use is limited to individuals signed up for 3D printing programs.
- Pickup & timeframe: We’ll notify you when your item is finished; items not claimed within 10 days become library property. Typical completion time is 5–7 business days, depending on demand and complexity.
